Roma started boxing at a very young age. His father, a boxer and later a trainer, moved the family first to Poland and then to Germany, as Roma boxed and trained along the way. Finally landing in a gym where all the stars were training, he was fortunate to train with Vitali Klitschko, Wladimir Klitschko, Juan Carlos Gomez and many more.
By the early 90′s the family had moved to the United States. During one of his first US fights, Roma suffered a severely broken hand, ending his fighting career at far too young an age. The tragedy was followed by the sudden death of his beloved father. Roma lost his father, but was determined not to lose the dream they always had together… to build an undeniable presence in the sport that inspired them most.
Thus began Roma’s relentless push to train fighters as he opened up the Main Event Sports Club in Glendale, California. He was now able to teach others what his father had taught him and help launch the careers of those he believes in.
During Roma’s trials and tribulations, his close friend Jonnie, became instrumental in the start of the promotion venture, King of the West. Jonnie was the business end of the big dream, getting King Of The West the license to hold MMA/Boxing Events…. and now the dream begins!
