King Of The West is very excited to be able to present Rage Against The Ropes on May 6th in the heart of Hollywood to be broadcast virally around the world.
Be a part of history as this will be one of the most high profile combination events of its kind presenting both boxing matches integrated with MMA matches. A massive amount of adrenalin will be flowing that night and product placement will be a tremendous benefit to sponsor participants.
At this event will be the professional boxing debut of none other that Donyil Lonnell Livingston whose credits include 5 Golden Gloves championships, 2004 Ringside World Champion, Junior Olympic World Champion and many other accomplishments too numerous to mention.
Also at this event on the MMA side will be the professional debut of Haik Tsaturian who has made quite a name for himself while competing as an amateur.

King Of The West is fortunate in that the ringside commentators for the evening are both boxing and MMA champions. Boxer Vanes Martirosyan currently holds the NABF/NABO super welterweight belts with a record of 26 and 0 and is trained by none other than the world famous master trainer Freddy Roach. So between these two gentlemen their knowledge of their respective sports is sure to add color and excitement to the play by play, blow by blow, kick by kick and certainly the choke by choke.
King Of The West will stage a coming out party in front of 2000 fanatic fans that will take fighters and fans back to the grass roots of the sport and all captured on HD and broadcast on line.

DonYil Livingston

DonYil Livingston is not just a boxer who knows how to be successful in the boxing ring; he also shows how to be successful in life. This young boxer, who’s best known as “The Boxing Poet,” has been boxing for 10 years. Knowing that it has definitely been a blessing to accomplish so much as an amateur, DonYil is yet humble and has the willing desire and mind power to learn and conquer the sport. With amazing speed and foot movement, he isn’t just looking to use his ability to dominate the amateur boxing world, DonYil is looking forward to carrying it into his professional career after the 2004 Olympic Games.

Livingston began boxing in August 1995. Since then, he has accomplished many goals that he has set for himself, both in- and outside of the ring. DonYil currently attends California State Northridge, where he’s pursuing a degree to become a Biochemist and, besides this blood battling sport of boxing, DonYil writes poems during his spare time.

He comes from a big supportive family of 10 and, with four older brothers and one older sister, DonYil happens to be the middle child. Following DonYil is his twin brother DonTril, their younger brother and two younger sisters. With great support from his girlfriend, Jennifer, and a strong push from his family, DonYil can’t help but to be successful!

At the age of 10, six months after he began boxing, DonYil captured his first National Silver Gloves Championship. That special victory helped to motivate this talented young man; it made him hungrier for more. In May of 1996, he captured the National Junior Golden Gloves Championship where for the next five years he continued to uphold the title. DonYil, boxing at 165lbs., is currently ranked number 3 in the Nation.

As a boxer, he appears to be hard on the outside, however, DonYil happens to be a very touching person on the inside. For example, all of his poems aren’t just about boxing; some of them show his emotional side. Below, you can view some of DonYil “The Boxing Poet” Livingston’s work.

Cisco is an up and coming MMA Fighter From Buena Park, CA and trains at the United Mixed Martial Arts (UMMA) gym.. He is currently 3-0 Professional he made his pro Debut at C.X.F June 14th and Won By K.O in 54 sec of the 1st rnd..Cisco trains in Muay Tai, Boxing, Wrestling, Ground and Pound..

Haik Tsaturyan - MMA

My name is Haik Tsaturyan and I am a professional MMA fighter.

My love for martial arts was transfered to me from my dad, he was a wrestler at a very young age. When I was only four years old, I used to watch a lot of movies about martial arts. Ever since then, I begged my parents to enroll me in Karate class, and my persistence paid off  because I was finally able to cinvince them to sign me up.

I was only 4 when I wore my first Karate gii, also known as “Kimano.” I wore it with pride and set a goal for myself to replace my white belt with a black one. I had my first fight when I was seven years old and won the fight. I remember that I love this sport so much that when I started going to school my parents told me that if I don’t do well in school then no more karate for me. I worked hard even as kid, my grades at school were straight “A”s. Most of the time my teachers would use me as a role model for all my class mates because at that young age I had excellent grades and I had a pretty good name in my neighborhood because of karate. By the age of twelve, I already had a black belt and had earned the title of Champion of Armenia four years in a row.

After moving to the U.S. at twelve years of age I understood that there are more opportunities for me here. At first, I was having a hard time here in the United States, I couldn’t speak English and I had no friends, only my immediate family. I had to stop training and concentrate on school.  At this point, my mom was against the idea of my fighting again because after one of my fights,  when I came home and she saw my blood stained Gi, my swollen eyes and noticed my broken nose, she forbade me from continuing. I stopped training for about five years and it was killing me. I knew I had to do something, so sometimes I would lie to my mom saying that I am going out with friends but instead I would go to different gyms and spar with people. One beautiful day I woke up and I decided that no matter what, I am going back to training so I told my mom that I want to start again. She replied with an angry voice just like every Armenian mom would, “If you go back to fighting, then don’t ever talk to me…” I knew she didn’t mean any of that so I went to the Main Event Gym and signed up. After training at Main Event Gym for about three months, one of my training partners: Ando Dermenjyan told me that they have a wrestling gym and that all the hyefighters train there and that I should start doing wrestling with them too. I was very excited to know that my wrestling will improve too and so set a goal that I have to start fighting professional MMA.

Since then, I train twice a day as hard as I can at the Main Event Gym and SK Golden Boys.
